Ever since their first appearance on Tatooine with the line "Look sir, droids" the Sandtrooper pauldron has been a popular addition to trooper armour.

The distinctive orange pauldrons are worn by Stormtrooper Captains and Sandtrooper Squad Leaders to denote rank.
